Naomi Klein rips “the extortionist in chief” on FOX Business News re: energy crisis, offshore drilling and all that.  I love how the interviewer acknowledges he hasn’t read the book.

  1. What I like about Naomi is that she tends to keep her cool and a smile on her face regardless of what people say about her or her work. She is one brilliant writer and I enjoy everything about The Shock Doctrine” among other articles that she has written. Why do people disbelieve things that are real and raw? If I were in her position speaking with these fox news reporters I’d say “you’re not worth my time because to you the truth is too much to bear” and I’d leave the interview.

    Cowardice maybe? I just think I’d get too heated and that would be the best way to deal with people like them. I mean I’m a teen and if I can comprehend the things she says, relating them to what is happening around the world, and make sense of it why can’t grown adults do the same. I understand everyone has their own opinions but lives are being destroyed because of Shock tactics and barbaric capitalistic ideals.

    I said it once and I’ll say it again; the holocaust had Adolf Hitler and Capitalism has Milton Friedman. The idea of pure Capitalism no longer exists. We have to rebuild the system from the ground up and unless people are willing to do that nothing is ever going to change.
