Every day during August, Steven Beattie at That Shakespeherian Rag has been publishing a review of a short story by writers such as Alice Munro, Raymond Carver and Flannery O’Connor. I just found it today but there are ten days left and you can always go backwards on the blog into September.
CNQ notes that the aim of these reviews is to
… illustrate the range and versatility of the short story, to celebrate traditional story writers and recognize those who take new approaches to the form. You can also expect to read essays by guest writers such as Rebecca Rosenblum, Lewis Schroeder, Lauren Kitshner and Nigel Beale. Make sure to bookmark this site and have a look at it daily.
